5 easy steps

Step One

Apply now and include your resume and two photos. Yongo now sends your documents to Korea where our staff start contacting schools to find out which ones match your profile.

Step Two

Start gathering the documentation you will need to obtain a Korean work visa. The documents are:

- A copy of your resume
- 4 passport photos
- Two SEALED (unopenned) copies of your transcripts (from your university)
- Your original notarized diploma
- A SEALED police record check
(from your local police department)

You should start gathering your documentation as soon as you can. It will save you time later.

Step Three

Once we provide you with a school's basic information, we gauge your interest and you now pass a phone interview with the schools director.

Upon receiving the job offer you:

Bring your transcripts and your diploma to your local Korean embassy or consulate. They will stamp your diploma and keep your paperwork overnight for verification.

Courier your stamped diploma, your first set of transcripts, your criminal record check, 2 passport photos and a copy of your passport page to Yongo. You will be given a mailing address when you receive the offer of employment from your employer. We recommend using FedEx or DHL to courier us your documents.

Step Four

Bring* your second transcripts, your visa issuance number (we will issue you), your passport, a passport photo and 55$ to your nearest Korean embassy or consulate. They will issue you your work visa within five business days.

Step Five

Plane tickets are arranged and you’re off to Korea within a few days!

*If you have to mail the documents to your nearest embassy or consulate, please remember to include the proper fee as well as a self addressed stamped envelope. (They will not be able to return your documents without an additional Self-addressed stamped envelope).

**Click here for a list of Korean consulates and embassies. The embassy will charge you a small fee for the stamping service. The embassy stamping process usually takes a day or less. We advise that you contact your local embassy by phone (Click here for contact info) before you visit them and enquire about stamping fees and the Consular Services Desk’s business hours that day.
