Transportation
Korean cities have touches of English all over them, which is very helpful for foreigners. The subway system is extensive and very user-friendly, with English language signs and instructions everywhere. Street signs are always indicated in both Korean and English. And although the public bus is slightly less anglicized, you will be able to figure out the important bus routes in your area simply by asking your coworkers.

Shopping
During your time in Korea you will encounter hundreds of different street vendors, both within and out of markets. Bargaining is common. Knock-offs of common brand names (Polo, Rolex, DKNY, etc.) can be found all over. There are also many western style stores from designer boutiques to department stores. Electronics are also abundant in Korea. Seoul’s YeongSan market is the largest single electronics market in Asia, stocking many Japanese, Korean and foreign brands of digital cameras, MP3 players and computers. Without a doubt, shopping can be a great source of pleasure in Korea.
Food & Drink
Korean food is delicious, healthy and cheap. Almost all of our teachers end up falling in love with Korean cuisine. You will find some real culinary treasures like Kimchi (spicy pickled cabage), Bibimbap (rice, veggies, minced meat, hot sauce and a fried egg) Dak Dori Tang (Korean Spicy Stew) Bulgogi and Galbi (Korean BBQ). You will find that both eating in (delivery) and eating out are considerably cheaper than back home. And luckily for those less adventurous souls, Western styled and fast food restaurants abound.
Language
Learning Korean is also possible. Apart from the everyday Korean you will pick up just from living there, there are options for those more serious about learning the local dialect. There are many Koreans eager to teach their language to foreigners. Some foreigners who have been living in Korea for a long time also sometimes give free Korean classes to help other foreigners learn the language quicker. Yongo is also more than happy to help anyone interested in learning Korean, Mandarin or Japanese by assisting you in finding a language school or class in your area.
